It's a pretty well done edit, especially since white is so difficult to recolor, but if you've ever worked much in photoshop it's pretty obvious from the small stuff. Here's about a minute in photoshop and you can see how the brush has the same effects on the spillover areas like the steering and headlight.

Even the Cherokee logo on the door if you zoom in you can see where they just colored around it instead of filling in the areas between the letters because it starts to get pixelated. Only reason it stood out to me is I used to do a lot of heavy photo alteration and restoration and that kind of detail stands out when you're used to working with it.

Guess that wasn't sarcasm then lol. Maybe he did it to see what his xj would look like with the blaze orange plasti dip. Which is a real color. So this could be done. Dunno

I don't doubt someone did it to see what it looked like. Just the story the picture was posted under. The OP just happens to stumble across the exact same XJ the day after KTM posts it on a facebook page popular on this site?

plexi-dip=peels right off its plastic.

Its almost impossible, almost, to screw up! But if you do, you just peel it off.

videos are all over youtube

go onto the plast-dip forum, you should see the stuff there doing, it was SHOCKED!!

There putting clear plasti-dip on cars and it makes it look frosted. Theirs a dude on there with a black Subi WRX and it looks like the batmobile, in terms of color that is.

Chaeper the paint, cheaper then wrapping, and if you car what your ride looks like just a lill more then rattle canning.

www.dipyourcar.com/forums/forum.php whole car dipping
I guess every car on this site is photoshopped, and Fonzie is not making a small fortune then, just sayin!

Seems like alot of work just to fool people for nothing.

Plasti dip... It's interesting that it's named plasti dip because it's more like rubber than anything. You are right about how amazing the stuff is. I've been preaching plasti dip to everyone ever since I first used the stuff its amazing.

Well aware of what plastidip is, just don't buy that the pic isn't photoshopped.

Looks chopped. I can tell by the pixels and from seeing quite a few chops in my day.

He told me he bought the dip in the tube and thinned it down himself. He has access to painting equipment, booth, etc so there was no need to by the pre-thinned stuff or spray gun.

I just thought it was cool as chit and something different.

Crazy how a hand full sheep yells FAKE then the rest of the flock follows. Im an expert, I know, its too funny!

I will say I was alill thrown off by the color, but after joining the DYR forum and seeing all the crazy stuff there doing, I was sold on the dip.

I hope to see more Cherokees dipped, there already 2/3 Wranglers done but there just matte black but they look bad azz.
