what all do you guys know about XJs that came with a factory locking 8.25? my gf's 96 XJ has the sticker in the glove box that says you have a locker. is it any good?

 

Probably the trac-lock...

Jeep didnt offer a locker in a 8.25 from the factory.

Trac-lock is kinda like a LSD. Kinda helps in off camber situations but not near as much as a true locker. Tell her to take it easy around curves though. Itll lock up longer/more than an open diff would

 

just be careful in the wet stuff or you can spin it with out paying attention. plus its better then nothing

I have forced in another two discs in the lim. slip diff. of my scout and it is almost 100% locked now.
