So I just put in my own ext. Idle switch. (not the factory one) just a normal two way switch to ground. I bought a little 12v led to put in the dash to light up when I turn the high idle on. But I can't get it light up. I tried splicing it into the wire for high idle and the grounding but that didn't work. Anyone know how to get this led to light up?

I know the factory switch taps into the HVAC power for a reason. That's probably what you need to do too.

okay so I did some reading on your write up and others. It looks like that the heater control wire is the one that affects the indicator light. Now i am using a simple on/off toggle switch that is directly to the grey wire and grounded. If i connect the LED the the heater wire, and then ground it, will it come on if i flip the switch for high idle?
