Hey guys!
Been reading your jabber for a long while and figured I join in in the HE Haw. I am an old Jeep Guy. I cut my theeth during the 70's and 80's with my pop on CJ 2a's & 3B's about 7 of them from the ground up. He was a Korean war vet that did rebuilds in a war zone. He went on to work at AMC and taught me all there was to know about gods gift to the automotive world .....the 232/258 STRAIGHT SIX. First thing after I got out of collage was to build a 79 CJ7 ... From the ground up of course. After I got married we bought off green sheet a 1990 cherokee country. then after a the 2.3 came along we got into GM's those were dark years. However last year I scowered the state and found an 01 XJ w/ 60k on it. Life has righted it's self once more.
Life was good until last week when a soon to be dead faimly member left it run in one spot for 8 hours on end during -5 weather. Now my amber check engine light is on and it is wet behind the valve cover.
So much for green pastures.
Any thoughts!!
