Default Engine cracked or head gasket blown?

I have a 1990 xj w/ a 4.0 6 cylinder. Found water in the oil and a "mysterious" water drip coming from behind the crankshaft pully. Just replaced the water pump gasket. Someone please, do I need an new block or just replace the head gasket.

Thanks

The water in the oil pan just showed up today, it is minimal at best, the leak however, as soon as I parked the car it came out as a small stream, but steady. Does that help? I love "Jasper" and really hope its not the block. That I cant fix.
