Default Dumb but nice to know question.

So, in 1984 the XJ was introduced and later was dismanufactured in 2001, I know that Chrystler sold the build design of the XJ to China car manufacture, but is a Sold in China Only vehicle, and I want American Made any. But Say I was rich And I wanted a 2011 Jeep Cherokee XJ made by Chrystler, Same 2001 style. Do you think they would manufacture 1? Or if they did, probably cost alot more than the vehicle was for sale new, in production. I just thought of this when I was wanting to order something that was no longer be made/manufactured by a company and they said they could make one if wanting to pay extra for it.

They probably either sold or dismantled the tooling - unless you were either going to pay to rebuild the tooling or have it all done by hand, you'll have to be rich to have one made!

Maybe if you purchased Chrysler from Fiat and still were able to find the tooling, you could then have a 2011 XJ. So good luck with that.

Just woundering this because I could still order, Fenders, Doors, Header, Bumpers ect. New from Chrystler, or DealerShip, Alot of money from a dealer for sure As I tryed to order brand new Fender Flare brackets and they wanted to charge me $25 per one, That would of been $200 for all 8 of them. Just got mine at the JY and repaired them, for $8.00

Anyone think the Jeep Cherokee XJ will return? I seen a add online about the Jeep Grand Wagoneer returning http://www.autoblog.com/2011/01/11/r...oneer-in-2013/
It be nice to see them again with updated features but same body style, Same going for the Cherokee XJ, same body style with just updated features.

The nation is full of wussies that want to look cool in a SUV, but they want it to ride like the SAAB in their three car garage. Wussies will not buy a solid front axle SUV becaue the truck like ride will make them spill their 8 dollar coffee all over their Northface ski pants. Unfortunatly wussies have more buying power than you and I. Automakers like people with lots of money and will tend to cater to them. When they say "the market dictates that people want a smooth ride", they mean "we want to sell vehicles to people that can afford to spend 50k on a SUV because we make a huge profit on each unit sold". They will never say " We want to spend a butt load of money to bring back an old platform so a few thousand poor old bastards will buy them and we will lose on each unit sold".
