My bad. Sometimes it's hard to get the point of what someone is saying by reading online. I just like to be safe. You never know. You could have part of the power wire between the switch and lights rub bare and it ground on the body.

yeah i only have it on one but i guess maybe its not draining my battery idk

You should really being using a relay because must toggle switches are not rated for direct inline use only as a trigger for the relay. you can get a relay cheap and using female spade on the wiring make your own harness using the toggle switch you already have. Rugged ridge has a nice harness for around 18 bucks and you should be using 12-14 gauge wire and a fused terminal block off the battery to power acessories will keep your battery from becoming a cluster you know what.
