doorless/convertible security systems
springs coming up boys! and that means doorless weather! so this raises a question of mine, what are some good alarm systems for convertibles/jeeps i have looked into a couple but i dont trust the reviews on the pages. anybody here have experience with some alarm systems of the sort? i know it wont keep people from stealing my goodies but it will definitly offer protection in the areas im afraid of getting robbed since i live in the middle of nowhere

Pretty simple, if you value it don't leave it in your jeep.
Having an alarm system on a doorless jeep is like putting a screen door on a submarine. LOL

Hah this! My Wrangler spends the entire summer without the top and doors and the key is to keep your valuables somewhere else. They can't steal what's not there.

I dont have much in there but i have my 10" sub in the "trunk" area and my CB radio bolted in up front. im pretty sure a system would scare any burglars off with a few "warning GPS integrated alarm system" stickers on the windows and 2nd amendment stickers, its all a scare tactic haha. nobody will mess around unbolting a CB or snipping a heavy sub with an alarm going off

Take the advice already offered, either don't keep it in your vehicle, or at least try to keep it somewhat hidden.

When I go doorless, I keep my hatch locked. I know it won't stop thieves but it will slow them down. The only valuables I have in mine are tools under the back seat and my hi lift in the back

Good advice all around, might depend on location to though. only time im really gonna have an issue where stuff might get stolen is when i head into town 20 miles away to get something from wallmart or the mall. we dont have much of a crime rate here and i spend 90% of my time in the country. i have had a thread similar to this before talking about having nets but same results. as for locking the hatch, mine is stuck forever due to an incident in the rear so i would love to see em try to get in there. I think the $ will just go towards the engine build for now. Thanks!
