BTW-i think ballistic fab makes GREAT products, but im not a fan of how business is being conducted.

DAVE-why arent you giving away skulls to pirate4x4? oh cuz you know what that will get ya. haha!!

you can say the skulls are just you being nice, but when a business is being dogged and the throws out goodies, its obvious they are trying to save face. 75% of americans will fall for this. its a shame and an insult to us not falling for it.

When I was a teen, I remember a friend of mine telling me about a movie that was so action packed and awesome that you couldn't take your eyes off the screen! It was two hours long but felt like 10 minutes because it was so great!

When I went to see it, I looked at my watch more than I looked at the screen. I remember thinking, how could he have loved this movie and I hate it?

The answer is, experience it for yourself! Don't take the word of someone else for something you want to do, buy, see or have in your life.

I can't win over people with free skulls or free axle housings, nor will I try. This was a nice promo for us to enter this forum with.

It gained benefit from many seeing that we have fast shipping, solid customer service and the best packaging around!

If you never buy from us. It is our loss without question. I am only able to do things in the here and now. We are working hard to ensure better service and parts for our customers. I have admitted several times that we had lost our way in the past and are trying to fix those issues.

My advice to everyone in regard to ANY company you buy from is simple. If things don't go as you expect, don't wait to talk to someone in charge when you're fuming angry and there is nothing that is going to fix the situation. Let the person in charge know now! If this were the case in most of our upset customers situations, I would have been able to easily resolve any issue they had.

If you choose to try us out, I am happy to help. If not, I understand.

As far as why don't I do this promo on PBB? Because I already spend $$$ on the promotions we do there, and honestly, I don't think I could supply the skulls fast enough for the amount of members requesting. I/we like the specialty boards for some of our added bonus promo stuff. This isn't the only forum we run specials like this on.

Take a moment and consider one more factor. We currently have a customer base that exceeds 40,000. How many complaints are made versus that number? 100? 200? 500? Not even close. Dave, you take critisism well. and i applaud you for that.

i am going based off of others, including the shop i get parts from, but i dont think it really pertains to your annalogy.

i personally see people struggling because of this problem. i dont just hear it.

the fact that you put this promotion in this thread titled "DONT BUY FROM BALLISTIC FAB" is what throws me off and say it looks like you are trying to save face. im not just throwing it out there to be a jerk. but thats how my brain works.(i would have started a different thread to try and make this one fade out.)

if you have got the prob fixed, im sure it will start to show in all these jeep forums. and i will once again buy your parts.

i think you guys make GREAT products and really hope all your prob are getting fixed. and yes, i see that 100-500 out of 40k people doesnt seem like much to you, but thats 100-500 of YOUR customers. own it and fix it is all im sayin.

Things happen and people and companies make mistakes but the best thing to do is look forward and fix what is brocken. I see all this as just that and from what I am seeing they are fixing the things that were the problems in the past. IMO great job and I hope everything moves forward good from this point on.

For the record, this promo was introduced in multiple threads, including this one and the one mentioned above.

I'm really not interested in letting this thread fade away unless the OP wants that to happen. Instead, I use threads like this to show progression and growth in our company. I prefer to let people see that there is someone on the other end of the spectrum who cares and will work on resolution swiftly.

As far as the 100-500 not mattering to me, that's a misunderstanding in what I was attempting relay. EVERY customer matters to me personally and professionally, regardless of dollars spent. I am happy to help someone who buys a $1 tab or $10k worth of parts to build a buggy. I can't allow dollar amounts to sway how I feel toward any customer, ever!

I would like to think that most who have approached me have felt the effect of my trying to resolve issues. However, I have failed in some cases to make the right decisions. For that, I try to redeem myself by moving forward helping others and those who may still feel as though they were done wrong.

I hope this clears things up a bit. Dave

try again. they MAY being trying to change things but its obviously not working. They make great products if/when you receive them. If you search pirate you will see what I'm talking about. Engineering side of things they do a great job but on the business side they have screwed SO many people.

There are a few different vendors like Ballistic that makes awesome products and you actually receive them. So why chance it with Ballistic?

There is no one that has ever NOT received parts. So the if/when question is a moot point.

In the two years that I have been here there have been sweeping changes made. For instance, when I started, there was little to no communication with the buyer on back order status or time frames. We now inform the customer within a few hours in most cases if there is any delay. This gives the customer the opportunity to cancel the sale or wait for the product.

I can't fix four or five years ago, I can only fix now and that is what we're doing.

There will always be some people out there, such as yourself, who choose to not buy from us. I can understand that, and respect your point of view. However, try us before you bash us. You might be surprised.

all I have is an old set of weld on joints. I have needed some parts recently, I havent spent a dime, and Dave has been exceptional in his service, and communication.
For this reason, I will be buying another set of joints, and some misc. parts Friday. If the service continues the way it has, any time that I need something that he offers he will get my business.
I was honestly reluctant at first because of all the threads started lately, but I decided to find out for myself and am very glad I did.

There is the problem right there though, you have already said you never bought anything and never will because you base it off what others said from the past. He has stated that there has been changes made and that they are working to better the company so if you have never ordered from them yourself but want to go off of what people have said from the past then that is you. Why not try to order something if need be and see what service you get now days now that they have made changes? The way you are talking and what you are saying is trying to make it sound like people have ordered something and never got it from them, there is a big diff in never getting it and getting it late. Yes that can get people a little upset about something and yes they should have had better communications with them in the past BUT that is the past and they are working on the future now no reason to keep on bashing about it on here and bringing up something from another forum.

I'm not wanting to have a pissing match or argue with you on this but if you yourself never ordered anything then I don't feel you have the right to talk trash about their past problems. It's like many of the people out in the world that have made bad choices and broke the law in the past but now that they are trying to do right and live their lives it is still hard as hell for them to get a job because of people that won't hire someone with a record. People make mistakes and I don't feel they should be held against them for ever.

I have yet to order anything from your company so i can't say one way or another as far as that issue goes. I can say however that the stickers and whatnot did come very fast and i love the skulls. In the future when i need a part i will definitely give you a try

I have read a good part of this thread, the one thing that stand out more than anything is all the nay say'ers that have not had dealings with ballistic fab...and from what I have seen some of them do not do there own fab work. IMHO those of you that are not dealing with Dave and ballistic fab just due to something you read on a forum from some guy that claims he was wronged are just missing out on some great parts at great prices. There parts are as good if not better than most.

I can make these comments due to the fact I and my son in law as well have purchased parts form ballistic fab on more than one occasion. The parts have all ways been on time and we were all ways told if there was a lead time of x days. Are they perfect no, but I have yet to meet any one that is. At least they are trying witch is more than I can say for some others in this industry. So I would say if you need very good stuff for your build at fair prices call Dave.
