Default Does a 31" Tire fit in spare location?

Hey guys, stuck between getting a rear tire carrier or just sticking the spare in the back. I don't actually have a full size spare...yes I need to get one...So i don't have the ability to test it out. It would be a 31" BFG AT on the stock size rim. Does it fit securely/safely in the back where the the donut was mounted?

Or would it just be smarter to invest in a rear tire carrier.

Thanks Guys.

you need a longer threaded rod from home depot w/a hook on the end.

How did you get the 33 to fit? Did you have to keep the rear seat back unlatched and pushed up a little bit?
