I have a basically stock Jeep with 31" BFG All-Terrain tires and a adjustable front track bar that I bought from Rough Country. I was just wondering if I bought the 4.5" suspension lift kit from Rough Country (http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_4.html) I just want to know if I need a SYE or not. It says it comes with a transfer case drop but I don't know if I should get a SYE or not.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Spend the money and do a SYE, even if it is a hack n tap because most of the folks I run around with have hack n taps and we have NO issues using them.
You want an all inclusive kit, check out Iron Rock Offroad, they provide a rebuilt front driveshaft even for roughly $235. Or go cheaper and buy the flange only and find and rebuild you a junkyard SYE.
You are spending a good chunk of change on a lift, go ahead and do things right and spend some more on a SYE and leave the Transfer Case Drop elsewhere.
Jeeps should have been built with SYE!
