Default do i need sliders if I'm not rock crawling?

I will be doing some light trails but no real rock crawling maybe some mud but not tall rocks or anything. Should i even bother with sliders?

I probably wouldn't, especially if they wouldn't see any action. The $ would probably be better spent elsewhere, say, an auto locker, etc. if you like mud better.

i was thinking spending the money on a front bumper instead. for recovery and stuff. Do you think with normal trail riding ill hit the rocker panels or probably not?

I was riding stock for 3 years before I put in my lift, and I've never had a problem. I went one some pretty aggressive trails too. Recovery points should be your first priority.

Not normally. I'd spend the money on a front bumper well before sliders.

The stage 2 sliders metal tube comes strait off the square tubing under your rocker panels..
stage 3 the metal tube comes off and angles up to protect more of your door and to be used to pivot around trees..

jcr has good pictures that show the difference.

I get my rock sliders put on today.. idk how big your rig is but i started telling myself i was gonna go on easy trails and then i found myself veryyy close to banging the rock panels up.. i'm starting with armor then moving to bumpers/roof rack and lights
