i just swapped my engine from an old '96 trail jeep i had to my new '96 country... ive got EVERYTHING hooked up, but i camt get it to start. ive reset the distributor a couple times lining it up with TDC and put a new CPS in it, but when it turns over it still sounds a little funny like the timing is off? the engine started perfectly fine with a jump in the old jeep 10 minutes before i started pulling it. I did notice that it was blowing some air out of the distributor hole, could this be a loss of compression keeping me from starting? i got a new gasket last night, will be putting it on tonight...
