...is that supposed to be funny?....This is my first Cherokee, with no books are instructions! But, I did get a good buy! This Cherokee is in great condition,130,000 miles and no "Rust"!...couldn't believe it! Few dents and it runs good,30 lbs oil pressure, and constant temp.of 200!Just needs a cleanup, and a clean out, change fluids etc...How about a 2" inch lift? Who makes the best for thhe buck? Willie:cheers:

budget boost is decent, i would suggest at minimum, a 3" lift. no messing aroung with drive line or transfercase vibes and you get much better suspension and clearence for better tire. i also suggest NEW REAR LEAFS, AAL SUCK BAAAAALLLLLSSSS, spend the extra couple bucks, you will be glad you did.

thats a very short explanation, there are TONS of suspension threads on here and other jeep sites, i review for at least a month before i could decide.

GL!

This is sounding more like a Cherokee Chat type thread...

And yes it was funny that you did not know where the Dimmer was. For decades the dimmer was in the spot it is in on your heep.

Moved.

The dimmer switch is built into the headlight switch. Pull out the head light switch and rotate it

Worked in the auto parts retail system for over 5 years, you have to know what you are talking about, some people call it a "dimmer switch" some people call it a "high/low beam selector switch". If you're looking for the switch that turns down the instrument panel lights, then on my 2000 xj, the knob I pull out for my headlights, I rotate that knob and my instrument panel dims or brightens up depending on the direction of turn. But the left lever on my steering column (lever for turn signals) I pull that in towards the steering wheel or push to dash to either flick on the high beams or turn on the high beams. I hope this answers some questions and clears things up.

And yes, way before my time, there was a push button switch on the drivers floor board that the driver would step on to turn their high beams on. Throw that floor board switch in a car today and add in a clutch, and I think some of the stupid people today wouldn't know what to do.
