I'm assuming that the first pics were the hack job and the second was a proper repair. That looks good. Is the last pic a before shot too?

What did you pay for?

It looks like what you got was a half-decent patch job (even looks like they welded them in instead of using self-tapping screws or rivets) and some rust inhibitor paint, if that is what you paid it is what you got.

If you paid for new floor pans, you didn't get that.

looks like it would do the job.

i would've replaced the whole floor pan, but whatever, it is fixed and should do just fine.

Not trying to be mean but you got screwed and whoever did it should not be allowed to use a welder,Welding sheet metal over the rust holes like that is just a bandaid the rust under it will keep growing tell the patches come off.The right way it to replace the floor pans which you can buy online from 50 bucks to 100 pre side price verys site to site.

+2. You got ripped off. You cut the bad out and replace it, not just cover it. The outside looks fine, but the bottom, eh... Needs help.

Gotta agree with these guys. I'm assuming the first 2 pics from the bottom are AFTER they placed the patches from the inside...looks like it to me...if they left the bottom like that, you were better off before. All that cancer needs to be cut out before welding new metal.

Did you get what you paid for, I believe was the question...absolutely. You won't get a decent patch repair for $490. You'll get exactly what you got. Technically, the holes are gone, but it's a sub-standard job, for a sub-standard price.

$490?! Maybe $190, being fair for the labour involved in removing the carpet...

You got ****ed. No easy way to say that.

I'm going to partially disagree with Roni's "got what you paid for" comment. Lets say they claim 4 hours @ $100/hr with $90 for material. That ain't $100/hr work: Any idiot can use a flux-core to put some sheet metal over holes and cover the whole thing with rubber undercoat. You think there's primer under there, or more than a quarter-*** job with a wire brush? Think again... They just sprayed some undercoat over your rust. Sure it will pass a safety now but don't think you're going to be safe from doing the floors in another two years.

My comment was based on the shop removing the seats, the carpet, using materials, and blah blah blah. Information we weren't given. Based on what we NOW know, yes that is a lot of money. Also depends on what kind of shop it was in. If it was a true body shop, you'd be paying a LOT more.

Bottom line here is yes, you got gypped.
