Default Detroit truetrac

Ok, so i recently found a detroit truetrac that my dad bought years ago for my jeep (for the rear diff) while cleaning out my shop. I heard that they arent like other limited slip diffs, like they dont use clutches. Is this true? And can anyone explain how they work for me please? I tried searching, but i cant find anything about how they work. And if anybody has one in the rear, how do you like it? Thanks.
