Not into wheelin or muddin, (havent caught da bug yet!). I dont have a lift. My current tires/wheels: 235/75R/15. But would not mind getting bigger wheels 16 or 17 inch and bigger tires 255/75/16 or 17. Reason for getting, kinda silly but I want bigger n more aggressive tires..

wanting more agressive tires is not silly. getting bigger wheels that R15 is kinda silly though..
look into a shackle and spacer kit to add 1-2"
or budget booster. but that's too much cost if you dont need performance
search the forum.
over priced budget boost

get a 2" lift, shackles for rear, coilspacers for front. if u want to go wheeling and need more flex and such u can get a bigger lift asnd always reuse the parts or sell them. to make your jeep look higher you can also cut the front fenders up higher then remount the fender flares. for the rear u cant cut as high because the pinch welds are there. unless u want to do some welding lol. but u can run like 32's and rub around corners with a 2" but youll have big tires like you want lol. and just bump stop your shocks so at full flex u wont get you tire stuck in wheel well. goodluckk
I saw a Cherokee on like chromed out 21s and I almost cried. If I had the money I would have bought it off the dude just so the Jeep wouldn't have to be so embarrassed driving around with clown shoes.
I know that's not what you are thinking about but it reminded me of that terrible day.

Not sure your price range, but I got the Rough Country 3" kit with full leafs and a JKS Adjustable Track Bar. Did the 1" t-case drop, too.
My XJ drives now almost exactly how it did before, with the exception of absorbing bumps a bit better and riding smoother on the highway. Just a faint hint of DW, nothing serious.

if u get a rough counrty lift add Grimus as a friend on here and he can get you discount. but i had a 4.5" RC lift on my jeep and it wasnt bad on highway or streets. it did ride rougher then i wouldve liked even though i got the nitro shocks. but rustys is a little more flexy and softer for a little more money. i have rubicon express and old man emu shocks and rides better then stock lol i love it. and i cant pretty much do everything i could with my 4.5 on my 3" lift. still have 32" tires and probably the same amount of ground clearance

personally if I had a road dedicated rig, I would do the 2" BB and put on some 30's.(might need a hint of trimming for 30's). But Unless it's too big, get a small long arm kit. that way you will have a nice riding kit and a 4" long arm can get you to 32's...whatever you do don't use blocks.
