What ply are you running on your heavy diesel? From my understanding, the higher the ply number, the harder the more durable the tire is.

10 ply. Ply's relate to the load rating of the tire based upon its carcass design and sidewall makeup. A 10 ply tire may have the same "e" designation but have a different tested load rating due to the construction of the sidewall. Pretty much all Tires now have 2 or 3 fabric layers and a steel cording layer or in Goodyears case, a kevlar layer.

Update. ive got 3k miles on them. probably 2500 of that is highway. I did notice about a 1.5mpg drop on my trips. Road noise is still quieter than my old BFG At's. Just installed a RC 3.5" lift last night.

I've lost about the same in gas mileage upgrading from Duratracs. They're way heavier tires. Still ride great, louder than the Duratracs though, but very fine tuned.

Ok, finally got them in the dirt yesterday. I can deffinetally tell where these tires like to be. Though i am still playing with tire pressures, they are not a hardpack dirt tire. They love loose rocky gravel roads, and boulder climbing the best. We have been on a dry spell, so no mud to test yet. loose rocky trails and off camber rutted lines seem to be where they shined yesterday. was running 25psi rear and 27 psi front. with these stiffer armor-tek sidewalls, i will need to lower down to the low 20's next time i am guessing. will chalk test when i get a chance.

Here in Florida it has been constant downpour. My driveway has been completely flooded. I usually park next to the driveway in the dirt, where I've created huge 6-inch deep muddy ruts thanks to these tires. They bite nicely, I haven't spun them yet, even at 35 PSI.

I have to say, they are very quiet on the pavement. even compared to the MAXX's i have on my diesel. I am jealous about your rain. we are dying in forest fires and dust over here. send some our way !
