Default Coming soon- 8.25 OX locker!

Talked to one of the guys over at OX, and they are very close to releasing a locker for both 27 and 29 spline C 8.25 axles. Should be sweet, 3 different options for actuation, manual cable, electronic, or air powered. Haven't heard any bad things about OX and planned on getting one for my XJ.

Just thought I'd let you guys know since a lot of us that have 8.25s sometimes have trouble deciding on a locker.

I talked to them a year ago and they said the cover castings were the only hang up. Something about the foundry holding up development. Did they give a firm date? I'm pretty much done waiting and decided to go with a soft locker

Just gotta adjust the cables right, everyone I've talked to loves them.
I'm not gonna run an auto locker, I still use my jeep to haul the other toys and auto lockers also handle bad in the snow, especially with a trailer behind you.

He had the first gen locker before they revamped the actuators.

Melted cables, cable constantly needed adjustment, the bolts that held the locker together came out in the oil when I was doing an oil change.

I took it out after one season.

So, route the cable as far away from the motor and trans as possible and use locktite when installing the locker?
