Thank you! See some people have brains.

I've been pulled over for "inadequate lighting on my license plate" the officer informed me that I was to have two lights on my plate. Then asked about my modifications because they weren't factory and therefore illegal. I replied that they were on the vehicle when I bought it and was unaware that they were not factory and by putting an additional light on my license plate I would be illegally modifying my vehicle. He let me go but not after a good lecture on being disrespectful to the law. Also had a cop use a tape measure on my tires to see if they stuck out beyond the legal limit from the body... Let me go too on that one.

Where I live the wheeling spots are under the big power lines. Now my jeep isn't drivable but when I went with friends as we were leaving a guy gave use a thumbs up. Lol. There are no signs. Now I have friends that wheel in farmers fields and I think that is just wrong. I went one time and that was because my friend needed help because he was stuck and had no one else.

Do you guys realize how much it takes to keep a field maintained? Or how much money would be lost if seed was planted and people went and ****ed it up?
I would of let the bastard sit there and hoped the farmer found him

What's the legal verdict on this whole signs thing.

If its not your property, even though there are no posted signs, your still technically trespassing, correct?

The only time ive ever been on private property was when my friend was stuck in a field in a local forest preserve. I wasn't the one that pulled him out, it was my friend. Only reason we went was because he called me Litterally crying begging for me to come help him out. I was hoping he learned his lesson and wouldn't go back. Guess not.

As for the *insert words of choice* that drive through farmers fields, your destroying a families income. Your lucky your not greeted with a bullet in your jeep...seriously...

People dont realize that most farmers buy their supplies on credit, and then hope for a good crop.
Bad storm, flood, not enough rain, ****ERS DRIVING THROUGH THEIR FIELDS, etc, and their 1m+ in debt...

Let me share a short story with some of you smart guys who think that just because there isn't a sign, you have unwritten permission.

I like to take pictures of cars, and abandoned stuff. So, what's better than a field of abandoned, rotting cars?

It was in the middle of the country, an abandoned barn was the only building on the property, so I parked off somewhere out of the way and wandered around, taking some photos of the abandoned junk yard.

That's all I was doing. Taking photos. Wasn't touching anything, wasn't taking anything, wasn't leaving anything but foot prints... ended up with a shot gun pointed at me by a furious land owner. He calmed down a little when I explained that I was just a photography enthusiast and showed him my pictures, but was still angry and made me leave his property.

Moral of the story: Doesn't matter how innocent you think you're being, DO NOT GO ON LAND UNLESS YOU HAVE PERMISSION FROM THE OWNER.

Try some illegal wheeling round here and you'll soon be looking down the business end of a .243 and explaining yourself to the game keeper....

When I was a farmer, I used to spend a lot of time chasing people out of the fields, especially during hunting season. When the county proposed a bike/snowmobile trail on an old railbed, all the landowners complained and shut it down because of all the Jacka$$es they already had to deal with.

When I worked for the Sheriff's Office, there wasn't much probable cause needed to pull over vehicles. Weaving, bad light, speed, equipment, etc. The first thing they asked for in MN is proof of insurance. If you're not carrying it, it's a $150 ticket. Then they ticket you for speeding and add a surcharge to fund courts. Another $150. Then if you don't pay in time they pull your license, even without going to court. Then you get a ticket for driving without a DL. Then you find yourself sitting in jail and losing your job, your insurance doubles and employers see your criminal record in most states and really don't care if it is a minor offense - you just don't get hired.

Karma is a *****. It's easier for yourself and everyone else if you just say please and thank you and have basic consideration for others. But of course some have to learn the hard way. I get along just fine with cops and farmers.

Lol its not as bad as i explained it. It started off as a muddy field and then some guy put a little buildng up for maintence vehicles. Its not like we were messing up anything, just driving in a cornfield. Im sorry not all of us are spoiled kids or have a nice job whocan afford gas to drive 3 hours to go to a state park. The offroad world is already ruined, get used to it and stop flaming people who already realized it. K thanks

A cornfield.. aka a field of corn? So, that would be a crop then?
