Default Classic Jeep Badge

hey guys, i found this old jeep emblem when i was at the local pick n pull. got it for $2, i thought it would be really cool to put on my 92 xj. i'm making a custom grill for it, and thought it'd be a nice little center piece. my question is, does anybody know what years jeep used this badge? it'd be cool to know the value fo it, even though i'm not going to sell it. i'm guessing like $10, but just wondering. and do y'all think i shoudl repaint it or leave it in its classic condition? oh i found it on what i would guess was a mid to late 50's pickup. i could be way off on the years though, and don't even know if that's what it belonged on. thanks for the help.

I say repaint it. Since your going to keep it might as well make it look good.

yes repaint, but it must be done right nothing crapy.

Like it to a pro to have it done professionally, I imagine you would not get charged more then 25 or 30 to get it painted.

Big +1. If you paint it the vintage look will be gone.
