Default Cj rear bumper on xj

Hey guys I have a question about rear bumpers. I noticed an add on Craigslist about tube bumper for a cj. My question is will the rear bumper work on a 94 xj? Trying to see if it's a bolt on, how much modification, or is it even possible? Thanks, matt

definitely not bolt on. you could put it on with some modification. i've never done it, so the amount of work that needs to be done to make it work is totally up to your fabrication abilities.

Your xj is much wider and most cj rear tube bumpers wrap around the body. I would say it would need to be widened 6-8" and new mounts made. It would probably look hillbilly too, there would be a big void where your xj bumper is inset in the body.
