I believe it's illegal, but this will be my second year having them and I haven't been pulled over yet.

I got a basic cigarette lighter inverter. Sounds like I'll actually have a use for it.

This is awesome! I'm sure they're illegal since you can probably see red from the front but hopefully the cops aren't grinches about it. I'd also suggest keeping them on solid, no strobing or fancy patterns. I wanna get some for mine now.

The cops around here would never let that happen. A way around that may be to have them on your grill. But I doubt they would let it fly on your roof. Plus I'm unsure if they would be pleased with red or blue lights. But I totally would do it if I could lol.

That's awesome. I'll do it to mine.... At least overnight in the driveway would b cool..... I think I'll buy one of those Santa-in-his-sleigh blow ups and use the jeep as his reindeer.....

Walgreens has battery powered lights that go off of 2 AAs. Got a set on mine and they look great.

Hells yes to Christmas lights. It's xj tradition to decorate the rig. I did mine last year on the stock rack. Gotta do it this year but running behind due to the hurricane. And I've past right by cops and other with Mine on and never had a problem

I strapped on a lighted christmas tree and dressed up like santa riding my motorcycle and drove through the city in 20degree weather.

Going to be tough to top that one with my xj.
