Cherokee's with 4.5'' lift or less and 32" or bigger
Hello just looking for ideas for my Cherokee its a 92 with only 118k. its got a 4.5 rough country x-flex an Dunlop 32/11.5/15r I'm really wanting to beef it up to maybe 35s but don't want a hack job. Need ideas on whats the best tool to trim with and possibly nice aftermarket flares

Mine. 3" on 33's. used a jigsaw, tape the fender so it doesn't scratch it and just run it around the edge of the flare while still bolted on. voila, done and exactly the same on both sides.
Around 1.5" lift and 33's. Flares removed, and only cut and fold on the fenders, and the lower part of the front fenders behind the bumper cut off. Very minimal trimming. If I go to 35's, I'll go to 2.5-3" of lift, but that's the most I'd ever lift this Jeep.

I see you need bump stops ( judging by the no bumpstop dent on the back of the fender ! )
I actually have bumpstops. My front fenders have just hit so many things, they're in horrible shape, and tweaked pretty bad, especially the drivers side. That big dent in my rear fender behind the tire was there when I bought the Jeep, a tire came apart and did that a couple owners ago.

As far as a tool to cut the fenders with-I used a die grinder with some cut off wheels. If i were to do it again, i would have taken a sharpie and traced where the stock fender flares meet the body, and cut there.
