Default Cherokee won't go into gear

jeep cherokee 4.0 5 speed manual wont go into gear, this randomly happened one day and I can't figure it out. Its like my clutch doesn't even work anymore. I'm thinking slave cylinder but I'm new to manuals so I could be wrong, anyone have ideas on what it is/ how to fix? Thanks!

You have an external slave but check the reservoir first. A slow leak could have caused it to be sucking air and then they only need to be bled.

When it's running I can pull real hard And force it into second, than the rest of the gears are easier to shift into, it just takes more force then it should

Is your clutch working fine? IF you are in second and push in on the clutch will the jeep stop without it lurching forward?

If so you have an internal transmission problem.

has the clutch been making any noise?
