I have never owned an s-10, so i wont rag on it.
I do however have a 76 K5. Jus like the rest have said its a beast tank version on an xj lol. well somewhat.
I bought the K5 with my minimum wage job at sixteen. I ended up trading the K5 to my dad for the 88 i have now. Good trade for a college kid since the 350 was killing me in gas.
But man that blazer has nothing but *****, not much money into it, jus headers, exhaust, and msd ign. But man that thing could go anywhere.
Jus the power it has is crazy, was hard to get use to my cherokee at first.
But has alot of room, can take the top off, and infinite after market parts.
Only thing i hate the th 350, were gonna swap in a 700r4 in the summer, that'll get her going.
Also the weigght sucks.
I like them more as cruisers since they look bad ***** on the street.
But once it hits dirt it does what you want, amazing truck.
I still prefer my xj though. Different feel when offroading. blazer feels like a tank, i get more of a kick in my xj since its more compact, you feel like your offroading just yourself. idk if that made sense, lol

There's a simple answer to this debate, the Cherokee is sold in the UK because it is capable of cutting it against Landrover however the Blazer is not capable so therfore has never been officially sold here.
In the UK the Cherokee has sold well due to its reliablilty and excellent body construction (they don't rust!).
Most of them are 2.5L Diesels or 4.0L Auto's.

I think its more to do with the blazer being too big for the roads in the UK. A cherokee is a big truck over here, let alone a blazer.

For those with K5s (or any other Chevy/GMC truck/Blazer/Sub/etc) a good forum is www.67-72chevytrucks.com They have sub forums for pretty much any GM truck/suv. The 73-87 (91) forum is quite active. I am under the same name over there.
