Are there any dangers in driving Cherokee in water and mud !! I remember when I drove a Toyota Land Cruiser in water, mud & water went inside the gear box and differentials !!!!!!

depends from Jeep to Jeep.. some years do fine in water some do not. I have an 87 and it HATES water. There are a few things I am going to try when I get some money to see if that will eliminate or reduce the problem such as getting a new distributor cap plugs and wires and such.

As for mud you will get mud on the radiator and it can cause you to overheat.

Also, with any off road activity there are always unexpected things that could happen. Make sure to take a good look around the mud area for possible hidden dangers same goes for water, check before you dive in, no telling what could be in there.

I saw a picture on here somewhere where an entire mattress spring box was wrapped around someones drive shaft and axles.

Good luck and have fun!
