yea. well i agree with everybody in a sense. i still don't like ford. wait. hold up i dont like AMERICAN made vehicles period. my older jeep, LOVE it. it's still pure steal and good engine etc. but all these others nope. i like foreign cars. you may pay more for instance a bmw, or MINI or whatever, but you also don't sink all that parts money into it.
but from a different perspective its ALL how u take care of them. sooo.

say what you want about Ford...
They are the only one of the big three that did not need a bailout.

Chrysler and GM will be off my shopping list forever.

Holy crap... what are you doing to a GM or Chrysler product to call them unreliable?

I plan on saving a 2000 two door XJ from being trashed tomorrow.

I don't agree with how the vehicles are being disposed of. i think they should tear apart the engine, and the vehicle, and send all the parts to junk yards so people can re-use the parts to fix-up the cars they have. because they cant afford to buy a new one, or just don't want to have their car crushed.

That would also employ a bunch of the out of work auto techs that are out there. just have them tearing all those vehicles down, one after another...

All in all, its never going to change, so oh well

does anyone remember that episode of trucks where they calculated the cost of keeping your current truck as opposed to getting a more fuel efficient car, even a used one? keeping your truck with worse fuel economy was way cheaper. anyone remember that episode tho?? someone should pull it up and find the exact numbers the guy was using.

oh yea and my two cents on fords explorers: my parents had 3 of them, still have one just sitting and rotting away in our driveway. im surprised i didnt die the last time i drove it, the shackles are almost rusted into two seperate pieces. and they only employ tards at our local ford dealership, my pops would take it in with one problem, it would come home with 3 or 4.

no that's not why the country is where it is. but no i dont plan on buying another american vehicle. id rather just pay a good decent price for a good foreign car than waste my money fixing an american one.
when they start making vehicles up to my quality of standard then ill think about it. but thanks
