Over $40k invested... but still on stock axles!
Guess he should of spent the money on some real upgrades.

Nice rig though I will give it that.
Not worth 40K at all.
I hate that he didn't upgrade from the Dana 35. A well built Dana 30 can take a HUGE pounding but jeez but a 44 or 8.8 out back for those 35's

At least he actually took his offroad. I saw a listing where the guy put $30K into his, and he put in the description "Never Offroad". Why would you put a supposed $30,000 into a Jeep and never take it offroad? I'm gonna try and find this posting again.
Edit (Found the ad):

Where did he put the $30,000? Trying to justify the $14,000 purchase price I guess.

trs80...i dont know why your trash talking my jeep, your profile says you own a STOCK 96?!?!
besides i bought the thing off the original owner who bought it BRAND NEW from the dealership in 2000 and started morphing it into what it is now 5 years ago...with the NEW purchase price in mind i believed he had like he said about 40k invested into it since he paid around 20k for the truck alone....
there is alot not mentioned in craigslist ad, and to be honest i know its not worth 10k, but the bull****ters here in michigan like to talk down on the price so i put it up high so when someone is TRUELY intrested and talks me down, he can feel proud....lol
cage was a good chuck of change
rhinolining was a good chunk of change
Maxxis creepy crawlers are not cheap
etc....
anyways.....i was told he had TOTAL about 40 k into it after all is said and done from the year 2000, and i kinda beleive it,
what can i say, its nice, wife hates it thats why i posted it for sale, i dont want to sell it, thats why price is high!
did you see the other xj in detroit for 10k? i beleive mine is nicer than that, and i dont even expect to get that kinda cash out of it honestly...
http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/cto/1459551448.html here is one i based the price of off, yes he does have a different rear axle that you can come across daily, but i have the cage, less miles, and newer year...?!

is it just me or did he remove the rear seat to put the tire carrier and spare tire in? Way to turn a 4dr jeep into a two person ride

Truthfully I would be more inclined to the $9000 Jeep than yours. He has all the right running gear, RE, Accos, TW and a D44. His pricing is high but closer to reality than yours atvrider.
