Just bought an 01 XJ. I want to change the rims to a gunmetal/black chrome and change the emblems to a gunmetal color also. What are some other cheap and quick mods I can do that won't take me too long?

 

Change the wheel color, remove body side mouldings and all emblems. I personally left the Jeep logos on the frt. header panel and tailgate.

 

if you really wanna stay cheep, just paint those rims you got there, will do for now til you get some spendin dough, also change the lens colors to smoked or clear, and you can paint the emblems too

 

u're xj is nice as it is. just as jsmith & grn suggest - painting the wheels would be the only thing you can do that requires little time w/out spending $$. as for your moldings, can't tell from the picture if the color is fading (if so paint them or remove them - u're choice), but i'd keep 'em on if they still look decent.

 

side molding is in great shape. If the rain ever quits, I had planned on doing some painting. Should I pop the emblems off first and paint? What paint and sealer do you recommend for the wheels?

 

I would also like to get rid of the stock radio antenna. any suggestions on a replacement?
