jus threw a cb in my rig n shes workin fine till the other day, whatever channel im on it switches to 9 for a sec then back. not sure whats up, but the dam things brand new and id hate to think is busted some kinda way

 

Dont say anything on channel 9...
Thats the emergency channel
I hope you knew that already.

You might of got a bad radio. Take it back and get a new one just to be sure...

 

it was workin fine for the 2 weeks i had it before it started doin that, and yea, deff didnt say anything on 9

 

Does it have scan options? maybe its picking up some emergency channel noise and switching over?

get the antenna tuned

 

Is it a Cobra? or does it have the 9/19 switch? Perhaps something in the switch is going out????

I had/have a Cobra 19 and hate that it is on Channel 9 every time I turn it on.... It is having problems receiving right now though so it's not in my XJ.

 

its radio shack, 1447 i think, idk, need to check the numbers, but its a nice cb n it has the 19/9 switch, it wasnt doin it today so i hope it was just interfereance, shes a nice little setup tho, got weather channels n everything
