The key wont come out of the igniton on my 93 XJ while it is running but on my 95 Grand Am the key will come out in any position.

The Grand Am key is a hardware store copy tho while the XJ key is a factory original.

Mine never beeped when using the remote to lock it but now the little remote is broken so i have no way to remotely lock it anyways.

not supposed to do this, your tumblers inside your ignition or getting worn out. Not really a huge deal as long as when you turn it off it still won't turn to the on position without the key. If it does then i would change it out for theft reasons

i haven't had a key in my xj since last year. seriously.

my ignition doesn't turn all the way to off unless i remove the gauge bezel and pull on the ignition rod on top of my steering column. so i just turn it back to shut the engine off and turn it forward to start all without the key.

I had a S10 p'up that the keys would fall out all the time. Stall it at a stop light and try to find those suckers, that was fun.

It actually comes in handy when i want to use my radio at a bon fire or something... Because i can just turn it backwards and pull it out and no more beeping!!!

But I still need the key to move the tumbler.

Same with my gf's 99 grand am. i have a copy key and it comes out while it's running. The original doesn't do it.
