So did you use any padding or just fabric? I just bought a 99 Cherokee and slowing fixing everything. The headliner is sagging but most of the foam feels good just the fabric is pulling off.

Thinking about doing this next week on my vacation. I guess I'm a little unclear. Foam or no foam? Will no foam make more noise?

Not enough that you could tell the difference. I usually go with no foam, since that is what fails in the first place and forces a replacement.

Remove the plastic trim, open the hatch, pull that nasty thing out, clean off the old gunk with a brush, spray the Super 77 on both mating surfaces, carefully align and place the fabric to the liner....trim and tuck, put it back in... easy and fun with an awesome result!

I have already had a few people ask if I would do that to their cars, but most cars aren't so easy to get that headboard out without breaking it...

Here is mine!

I got this section with it too...

You can also rework the visors and make them look however you'd like. Mine are black leatherette now.

Put up pics!

No foam, and depends. If your foam is old and not really there, the sound level won't change much if any.
