Smile Buying a used 97 Jeep Cherokee Sport

So I am in the market to buy a used 97 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I was wondering if I could get some help to know what I should look for before purchasing the vehicle. Right now it has about 170,000 miles new tires and the body is in good shape. He is asking 3200$ KBB says that in good condition it's worth 2,537. So I was just looking on getting some advice from you guys.

Don't worry about advice, take it to a mechanic.

How would you rate this year and model? Basically my question is this going to most likely be a reliable Jeep to get? I know it's hard to say because you can't look at it to see.

Probably a new one, with a warranty to boot. When the warranty is set to expire, sell it.

Yeah for sure! I can see that too. This forum is pretty awesome lol. Also right now he says that the interior lights don't work. I've heard that there are a lot of electrical problems with these types of jeeps. Does that hold true?
