Hey guys,

I am looking to buy just a basic "base rack" to extend the length of my jeeps roof rack. Just basic bars so that I will be able to fit two kayaks on my roof. My XJ is a 92' Briarwood. *be jealous*

Any help will be appreciated!

 

your talking about the stock rails and cross rails? if so just hit up a jy thatll be easiest and cheapest.

 

Im talking about adding a crossbar to my stock roof rack because right it's too short to fit two kayaks. Or replacing it with a longer crossbar. I found kits for like 250+ bucks and thats too steep for me.

 

so you just want to add one cross bar to your current stock roof rack? so you will have three cross rails instead of two? if so again JY all day.

 

Are you mechanically inclined? and do you have access to a welder?
