To buy or not to buy?
I found someone selling a '90 XJ with a 3" Rough Country coils in front and 3" Rough Country add-a-leaf in rear. It has 15x12.5 spaced wheels with old rubber on them. The body is shot, motor is strong, tranny has nomore 4WD or reverse. I really want to lift the '88 I just picked up and I am on a tight budget... should I pick this up for $450, install suspension in my '88 pull motor, tranny and anything else worth saving and send to the scrap yard for a rebate.... any advice would help. Thanks.

I would, try to part it out before you bring it to a scrapyard though. I was offered $350 at a scrap yard 2 months ago for my rolled xj, decided to part it out, made over $350 in parts, brought it back to the scrapyard after parting it and got $200 for the scrap.
Some kid payed $60 for the pcm, $40 for the alt, $35 for the tailpipe/muffler, $30 for a seat. Couple others came and grapped a bunch of interior and few exterior parts. It adds up quickly.

I have someone coming to pick up my 87 cherokee shell for $300 with axles and tires. I just dont feel right taking an xj to the shredder when there is a wheeler out there who might just be lookin for a cheap shell to beat.

The thing is a death trap, the front end has big problems there are better deals out there... once I take the suspension and the exhaust, other than the engine it's worthless.... IMO
