Default Bus turn signals in my cherokee?

I am a public transit bus driver, our buses have a turn signal set up like what is in pic 1. It is located on the floor to the left side of the steering column. This way the driver can keep both hands on the wheel at all times. You work the switches with your left foot. I was thinking of installing something like this in the jeep. I would use horn buttons like in pic 2. I would not have a high beam, or a intercom switch. Just the turn signals. Your thoughts?

you should do it and take pictures......but keep in mind if you get a little fancy and fill the foot wells with water you might be in a little trouble.

I have thought about that, but I plan on mounting them higher up on the firewall. And I was planning on, drilling drain holes in the floor just for set occasion.

even on the bus that seems kinda unneccesary. How do you have to take your hand off the wheel to hit the turn signal? a finger or two can flick it pretty easy

Is it necessary? No.
Is it different? Yes!
I say give it a try and post up pics when you're done. It will give your rig that extra character.

I would avoid those horn buttons. They are pretty cheap

The buttons were an idea. I will have to see what they have at Oreily.

I guess I dont see the point. I understand being different, etc., but our Jeeps are pretty small as it is. I dont get putting switches on the floor like that unless you want more stuff to deal with and more stuff in the way cramping our already cramped Jeeps.

I would SO love to, but the ground clearance is only like maybe 8 to 10 inches.

I'm all for the be different and creative but I would like to know why you would want to do this? What would be the reason or added benefit?
