Default bought my friends XJ

my friend was selling his 93 XJ for a grand so i took him up on it

its got a 5 spd, 4.0, 204k miles...but runs great...brand new BFG ATs with less then 4k on them...new clutch and new radiator...

he bought it for 3 grand back in 03 with 123k miles and ive always likes his XJ...im probably going to turn it into a wheeling rig/dd...i mean ive got the WJ too but id like to keep the miles off of it

heres a video of it on my dads farm...i dont have any good pics of it

just a warning for you all...one of my friends drops the F-bomb closer to the end of the video at the 1:02 mark...

than blue...yea hes already got a brand new add a leaf for the rear end...2 inch...so im going to just get some 2 inch spacers for the front...give it a little more room for the BFGs...

its still a comfortable jeep too...AC works, interior is clean....thats why i want to use it for a DD too...plus i just like XJs more then WJs actually...lol...i like the 5spd in the XJ..its amazing how solid it feels when driving it with that many miles..it shifts just like a brand new jeep...clutch feels great...steering is good...no check engine lights...it really is great for its miles

great buy. the rear tire carear would cost you over 500 itself so getting the whole thing for 1000 is a great deal

yea...i love that rear tires carrier..i like the way it looks more then having an internal spare...and now its got the same tire on the spare wheel as the other four...when he bought new tires for it, he had them put one of the old ones (which are the same as the new ones) on the spare wheel so atleast it has a matching spare tire if not the wheel any way

not for sure yet...im thinking ill just stick with the 2 inch lift as far as height for now....but id like to get a safari roof rack for it with some light brackets...and then a winch bumper with some more light brackets...and then eventually by another winch and put it on there...ill load it up with 100 watt lights......i foget the name of the lights, but i had them on my YJ i just got rid of mounted on the windsheild...but they were great 100 watt lights that i bought at harbor freight for 20 bucks a pair...and i never had a problem with them

but thats about all im thinking about for now.....

ah, and also ill buy some longer shocks to allow the axles to flex more for when i do wheel it...

but im actually looking at pics right now on google and other sites of modded XJs...to see what i like best...but its so hard to find 2 door modded XJs...not that it would really make a difference, but id still like to see a 2 door XJ with up to but no bigger then a 4 inch lift with 31s and the roof rack and any winch bumper...but i cant find one

once you start your not gonna stop and your gonna want a bigger lift. having a jeep is a lifestyle. and after you do all that to your xj you might think it looks foolish with such a small lift. and with the winch thatll only help you so much with a smal lift youll still bottom out and depending on how bad a winch might be useless

trust me, this aint my first day on the job...lol

ive never put larger then a 2 inch lift on a jeep, besides my YJ that had 4 inches, and ive always like the 2 inch lifted jeeps...i like how they look and perform...and i can stop when i need to..once i get what i want on a jeep, then i dont feel the need to spend any more money on it

lol...yea...they are money pits...gotta be carefull about mounting that hi-lift jack on your hood tho...get into a head on collision with another car and the other driver or you could have a 60 pound hunk of steel flying towards your head

theres really not good place to put on of those...i dont have one but a friend of mind has the bigger one...60 inch...and he straps the hell outa that thing when he puts it in his jeep when we go wheeling, but when we arent wheeling and he is just driving it on the road, he leaves it at home
