yeahh thats why i rather leave mine like that , i spent hours viewing models to see if it looked better black or chromed...

That is all original chrome on that Jeep. My dad bought it new and drove it until he died in 2003

I did a resto in 2007, the chrome is showing some age but still shines just fine!

im the second owner of this , a guy had it since new but he was too old to drive it and never wanted to sell it so it spent almost 10 years parked on the garage and when he finally died his son thought that the truck was too old and didnt had any value, besides the fuel consumption so he sold it to me, now every time he sees me on it only says i wish i would had your eyes for this truck before , i would never sold it , look at it now!!! it has original chrome on it , never needed to replace the oem even that they look as you said, showing some age, one bezel is even broken but is hard to notice.

What product did you use for the flat black? I used PPG alkyd shot through a 310FFT.

what can i tell you , the dude that paint it told me that to paint it like that he needed special ppg paint to get that look but i never saw ppg or sherwin williams on none of the cans that he bought i believe he went to a cheap paint shop and got the paint and the clear there i really didnt argue about it i just wanted the looks and he really got it he only charged me about 300 us ...

Makes me shake my head when Wranglers with far less exterior surface square footage get painted for $2,000 or more. Looks good bro.
