BFG is a bandwagon thing. But they're softer and wear faster than the duratracs. and Duratrac is the only tire I've seen yet that actually has a good ice rating.

Duratracs are the way to go. 40,000 miles and still great tread.

I have BFG ATs in various sizes on three different rigs and I although the road manners are good and tread wear is also good, they are not very good tires in mud or snow. Just my .02

bfg is a tried and proven tire. wears great, rides good, tougher sidewall than the duratrac.

however, if i were buying now, i'd probably go w/the duratrac. should be comparable, and be better in snow, which is the only con i had w/the bfg. plus they look a little better.

this is my 2nd set of of DTs. first set was in the 235 size. I had 40k on them and rotated them religiously every 4-5k and when i let them go the had...no lie... another 20k on them atleast. Not bad for a tire that is only rated for 45k.

Now take note, that i never had them offroad in the almost 2 years i had them.

FREEKIN AWESOME in the snow, rain and ice. Now i have them in 33s with about 50 miles on them. I just puttem on about 2 weeks ago.

IMO...sorry bfg guys. the DTs are sOOOOmuch nicer looking too. BFGs are a "me too tire"

" I have bfg at....>>>>>....Oh yeah!!!!...Me too...."....lol

If your buying new tires look at doing a budget spacer lift an get 31s so that way your getting something outta buying a off road kind of tires other wise you dont need to run something as aggressive but on another note i loved my duras they were great aired down to 15 psi gripped great on the rocks and loved the mudd
