Best way too jack cherokee up higher to fit tires
Well im lifting my 97 xj. I have it supported up on four jackstands 1 on each side of middle section. I have my leafs on but i can tell right now i have to go higher up on the jackstands to be able to put the wheels on. I know i should have done the front and rear one at a time but i had to ship the front axle in to get new seals so i just took it out and got new bushings and whatnot.
My question is does anybody know of a way i might be able to lift the rear high enough off the jackstands to fit the wheels on while the front is still safley supported and not going to slide off or tip???
A couple opinions i got were : ''As long as its on even ground dont worry.'' , ''A Jack per side (x4)'', ''Two jacks, one on each side of the axle and just jack up the rear by the axle.'' - Any of these sound legiable or has anyone had to do this before??

Jack up on the rear axle. It shouldn't go anywhere if the jack is on wheels and have the stands properly set. Put a block of wood on the jack first though so it doesn't have metal on metal contact (at least that's what I do).

You can also jack from the bottom of the shock mount. Do one side at a time and the suspension will flex allowing you to put the tires on without having to lift the whole thing 4' in the air...

It seems like you jack up the XJ by the axle.
Is this the same place you put the jackstands for extended jacking?
How do you do this? Does the jackstand go right next to the jack?
Don't they get in each other's way?
Which should go furthest to the outside, closest to the wheel, the jack or the jackstand?
Do you understand what I am asking?
TIRE -- JACKSTAND --- JACK -- DIFF -------(AXLE)----------TIRE
or
TIRE -- JACK--- JACKSTAND -- DIFF --------(AXLE)---------TIRE
