Default Best Tires For...

i am either going 3" lift with 31's or 4.5" with 32's... either way, i drive mainly on the ROAD but would like to go offroad seldomly. i really like the look of the BFG A/T's but i really like aggresive looking tires like super swampers and such. any opinions such as tires being too loud..etc...

Super swampers are basically as loud as they come. They wear faster than most other brands. I've heard that the bf goodrich KM2 wears really well on the road, and is decently quiet.

tire wear on swampers depend on which kind you get... my bro has tsl's and is getting great traction, excellent mileage, and cant get stuck (he's tried). the only downfall is that they scream like a ***** goin down the road and you need a mouthguard. a/t's wear quickly and fill up with snow and mud quickly and don't empty as easily. however they are quiet

I thought my super swamper tsl radials’ were awesome off road and acceptable on road until I got a set of BFG KM2's. I will never again remotely consider an Interco tire for a street driven rig. The KM2's have more rock, gravel and sand traction than TSL's ever had. The KM2's have been beat, and are less prone to cutting/chunking than the TSL's were. The KM2's are getting awesome wear, balanced nicely, track true and are quiet... the TSL's did the exact opposite... pure junk on pavement.

If you are road bound and seldom offraod, I would suggest an all terrain tire... I loved all 4 set's of BFG A/T ko's I had and do not hesitate to recommend them.

BTW, I would go 3” lift and 33x10.50.

I think the Kumho Road Venture M/T KL71 looks like a very street friendly mud tire. Actually getting 31's mounted on mine tommarow with a 4.5" lift.
