bad idea reading reviews for water pumps
97 4.0 4x4
I noticed a small leak coming from my temp housing unit, so i'm going to replace it with a high flow housing along with a new t stat.
So what the hell lets do the water pump also.
holy crap the reviews are allover the place. first it's the flowkooler coming apart then its the hesco not doing anything.
I don't want to stay with stock
so I need some advice from the the CF experts.
what are you running and have you had any issues.

well... the unfortunate thing is that aftermarket stuff isnt always gaurenteed to work as advertised and is either too cheap or too expensive. OEM is usually kinda pricey cause its comin from a manufactuer, or similar, but its probably your best bet for replacing most stuff. UNLESS you need increased capacity, flow, whatever, then OEM is the way i go. this is based off MY experiences with sensors like TPS or the IAC valve. if you are going aftermarket, make sure its from a good company (ie. MSD for ignition stuff)... idk, my .02!

for things like this I tend to stay with OE... replaced my water pump after I took out the deer and tried an aftermarket model... didn't like it and it seemed to not be working ( temp was all over the place and made strange noises ) so I spent the money and put in an OE and still running it.
