Went to install new t-stat today. I didn't even get much torque on the bottom bolt when I heard a pop looked down and saw a huge crack running the length of the housing! Normally I would just run out pick up a new one and continue on with the project but it's gonna take 2 freaking days to get one!

 

Be happy it didn't give up while you were driving it.
Don't feel bad, I always start five minute Jeep projects that end up taking the better part of a week.
