Default Was anyone else stupid enough to buy a skid row t case skid?

So i ordered a skid row t case skid after seeing the beefiness of their gas tank skid. went to put it on my 94, with the 231, no t case drop. and the damn thing hangs down like a sore thumb!! after reading their instructions its designed to fit with a tcase drop and either a 231 or 242. im ****ing PISSED. i should of researched this first i would of bought a rustys skid. i would just ship it back but i dont want to eat shipping so ill just cut and weld it to fit tight. what a *****, you buy a product and get ****ed in the ***.

Thought about it, but don't see the point to it since I have a stock one that hangs just as low. Might pick up one of these or JCR, same design and sits super flush to the body, also like that it covers the connection from the cat and downpipe as I have knocked the two apart from high centering. http://dpgoffroad.com/products/dpg-r...ly-skidplates/

Yea It's on the list of things, only issue I see with that design is changing the tcase fluid won't be fun.

I've been running that skid row tcase skid for a few years. I got it off Craigslist for an extra $30 when I was buying a locker and some other parts from a guy.

the tcase drop mounting Is stupid. I had it mounted without the drop and it worked but eventually I ended up cutting the skid plate apart and welding it back togeather so it sits closer to the tcase and has more ground clearance.

I will say that it's beefy. Haven't had any issues there. It can take a beating
