I see that there is a cost of $99 to do that trip. I don't know you or your wife's ages but is either in on SS or disabled you can go to any forest service office and get a Golden Passport with that you can get into many state/federal areas attractions for free both of you with a single pass.


My wife and I have traveled all over with one in our motorhome and toured National Parks for free like Everglades, Carlsbad Caverns, Yellowstone, and either free or reduced camping fees also in many areas.


Anyone who is eligible for one of these should take advantage of them, unless they done away with in the last 8 yrs.

Excellent tip. I'll check it out.
I'm retirement age but wife #2 is a good bit younger . Unfortunately, retirement is out of the question right now but at least I can get medicare.
