as said above you need to get underneath and take a look at the steering components. check for excess play in the tie rod and track bar. jack up the front axle and try and move the tires up and down back and forth to check ball joints. look at all the bushings. if these things are OK, tire balance and alignment could be an issue. is it only at a certain speed that you get the shakes?

Get under the front end and have someone turn the wheels left and right and watch the axle, for side to side shift on the track bar, then look at the tie rod ends looking for any free play.
Next take a tape measure and measure the center of the tire to center of the other in front then goto the rear side of the front tires and repeat.
Then as was said jack it up and check the ball joints etc

Heres my things to check for that causes bad vibrations on a jeep that I have found out after having owned 2 jeeps and having friends with the same problems:
-alignment (death wobble, already covered check the other posts)
-check your rear leafspring ubolts (if they are loose they will cause axle wrap while accelerating)
-check your rear driveshaft ujoints (worn ujoints can cause bad vibrations when you let off the gas)
-check front steering components. IE bushings, trackbar, joints
-check hubs and axle u-joints (worn components can cause it to vibrate, shouldnt be violent though)
-last but not least your tires for balance. If they are out of balance it can also cause vibrations. I just had a shop patch a hole in my tire and now its out of balance and I need to get them to balance it
