never done it before, but as long as your not afraid to cut into your jeep then basically extend the wires above the headline so they can go around the new hole in your roof, then just cut, mount, seal, and waterproof. again, never done it before, but ive seen cherokees with them so i know it can be done

the cherokees with sun roofs also dont have the roof ribs all of the way to the front. They only go to the sun roof.
Look at all of the roof ribs...Then see if they have a kit that will work around that

very true, guess you'll either need to be good at fab work or like 96_xj said find a kit, dont want to lose integrity and safety over a sunroof

Use lots of 3M black windshield caulk and I think it will be good to go. Any sunroof will do BMW, Saab Audi, VDUB ect ,are the same sunroof .The shy is the limit when its a custom mod.

IMHO i dont see why we would cut a big hole in the roof, insert piece of glass, and then try to seal it up so it doesnt leak when it rains. Also remember then you go crawling/mud whatever the body is gonna flex and start leaking like a rusty rain gutter. Then you will caulk it again and again until you got mt everst of caulk on your roof and then wonder why you wanted to cut a big hole in a perfectly good roof. If you want more air get a small roof scoop off a subaru wrx or something like that. just my .02 cents

Here is a pic of my roof. I can definitely see the problem with the ribs.

I don't see how you can seal it up tight without major body work.

I am go to go with an late 70s /early 80s BMW sun roof. This type has a sheet metal top not glass , so if I load the roof rack I wont break the glass. My 81 BMW M6 has this type on it, I dont need to let more light in just air. Oh and to get acces to the belt fed. LOL
