I own a 98 Classic thats bone stock with 175K on it. Right now I'm averaging 312 @ $60 per tank. I tried C-Foam and it gave me an extra 10 miles but that lasted about 2 weeks. I heard of BG treatment but haven't tried it yet. Any suggestions? Thanks for reading my forum.

Having an Overhead console with current fuel economy has helped me out. Watching myself get 7mph has helped lift the skinny peddle off the floor.

Air up the tires to 35psi, use the cruise control, leave all of the heavy junk in the trunk at home, stay under 70 mph, and go easy on the throttle.

Ouch, 220! I guess that I'm doing okay then. Can't compare my Jeep's MPH to my Honda Civic.

you are right where your going to be...dont expect much better until you drive a honda

winter blend fuel is coming in this time of year...always drops mileage

if your looking for stuff:
stay off the gas as us much as you can
set the cruise

my biggest improvement for mpg was replacing the upper o2 sensor _huge difference....idle better...and about 3 mpg more

oh and calculate all your mpg with pen/paper....overhead consol like mine is always about 1-2 mpg off from what i actually get

1. Take off the roof rack if you have one.
2. Leave 5-10 minutes early and drive the speed limit.
3. Have a good stereo so you can tolerate #2 above. Relax and chill.

Manual trans makes a big difference in the mpg. I like having control over the RPMs and typically keep my cruising RPMs at 1000-1200 and shift between 1500-1800. Very fine line before it bogs down.

Sounds like something is wrong with yours.

I have 3.07 gears, 30" mud tires, 5 speed and get 19-20 mpg.

Sounds like you are right where you should be. There is noting you can do for mpg increase other than making sure your rig is 100% up to date on Maintenance as stated above. Making sure your filters/fluids/plugs/o2 sensors are all fresh will maximize your MPG but don't expect much more.
