I've never had a problem with Amazon or RA...know what you're looking for, and buy it
Maybe it's regional. IDK, but I'll tell you what, Amazon has always been good to me when local parts stores can't deliver the goods

I rarely order from Amazon but I’ve never had a problem with them.
I’ve had several times that EBay items either got damaged in shipping, or they flat out sent me the wrong part. But I’ve always had it made right. I only buy things that have a clear photo of the actual part, so I know what part is in the box. Some good deals if you do your homework.
I buy plenty from Rock Auto. Only had a couple issues. Like a set of exhaust manifold bolts where 1 was missing from the package. They sent me another package immediately. Another time they sent me 2 left brake hoses, because one was in the wrong box. I just ordered another one and kept the spare. I’ve never gotten substandard parts that I know of.
But I’ve had more issues with local parts stores, parts either being in the wrong box, or just giving me the wrong part in general. So I always take in the old parts to compare, check numbers, have pictures, whatever. Statistically I’ve had much better accuracy at Rock Auto, which is good considering I can’t check parts beforehand.
